With a name like HYmini, you can't help but wonder what it is! The HYmini is a small, hand-held device that stores energy to be used later to re-charge most of your small, portable electronics, such as cell phones, iPods, or PDA's.
How does it work you ask? The HYmini contains a small lithium-ion rechargeable battery that will store power after you've charged it to be used later. Much like Hybrid cars this device uses several sources of energy to power itself up, 2 of which are completely electricity-free, for those of you who are "going green" and want to conserve electricity. The HYmini can be powered using its solar panels and the renewable heat from the sun. Simply plug in the solar panel using the appropriate adapter and the sun will work to charge the battery.
Another eco-friendly way to power up the HYmini is using its built-in wind generator. As the wind turns the small turbine, at a minimum of 9 mph, the wind energy is turned into power to be used later when you need to recharge one of your portable 5V digital devices.
So why not just plug my phone or iPod into the wall to recharge? Well, the HYmini allows you to conserve electricity, but can also be used when on trips or in locations that do not allow you quick access to a power supply. The HYmini also has the ability to be recharged using electricity from the wall or by plugging into your computer via the USB connection.
Don't ever be caught without a charge battery again, go green and use this hand-held, eco-friendly power station.
