AT&T Wireless Air Card
AT&T recently introduced a new mobile broadband device aimed at business users, the Sierra Wireless Air card 890. It is a multi function device that is perfect for mobile workers. It opens the door for businesses of all sizes to have greater control over their workforce.
The Sierra Wireless Air Card is built for super fast connections using the hottest 3G networks and has a built in GPS. It has been certified by AT&T for speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. When used in conjunction with AT&t's applications, such as Xora GPS Locator or TeleNav TrackLite, it allows for easy tracking and locating of employees. It is also great for directing clients to specific locations.
This device is fully compatible with Express card and PC card slots. This is a disadvantage if your laptop is not outfitted with one of the two. It races along at lightening fast speeds, allowing users to check email and run multiple applications while working. It is also fully compatible with AT&T's High Speed Packet Access technology.
Other great features of this Wireless Air Card is that it is fully operational anywhere that AT&T has mobile broadband connections, including globally. It stores safely inside the laptop and has automatic reconnect features and VPN support. It also features a flip-up antenna, status indicator lights, and external antenna jacks.
