Who on earth could come up with an idea like this. Hang a plant on your keychain. We have seen people with the weirdest things on their keychain, but never ever did we see a plant. These little pet trees are very popular in Japan. The plant is like a mini tree in a jar. The only thing you need to do to keep it healthy is put the bodem of the plant in a bowl of water every week or so. The plant will keep on growing until it is to big to fit the jar, you can then just plant it. There are different kinds of little trees, each represents a different strength and characteristic.
We have used the keychain and must admit, it is pretty cool having a plant in your pocket.
Size dimensions:

Growing Instructions:
Pet Trees Victo:
* Watering: Spring/Autumn/Winter Once a month.
* Summer: once every 40 days (In rainy seasons, pet trees should be carefully watered because they can be damaged.)
* Best Temperature: 10 - 30?C
* These can be grown in capsules for more than 6 months, but with less sunlight, the leaves will grow bigger. To enjoy the Echinus maximilianus longer, give it a lot of sunshine.
Rance:
* Watering: Water 3 times a year but there is no need to water in Summer
* For faster growth, water every 2 months. When watering wet tissues or paper towels and cover the bottom of the capsule for 30 mins. Poor watering may cause them to grow out of proportion and weaken the plant * During Winter, after watering make sure they are not exposed to freezing temperature
* Leave them in a sunny spot. Pet Trees will thrive if grown in temperatures between 10 - 30?C for more than 6 months
* For faster growth in the first few months, give them plant food and lots of sun, then re-plant them in flowerpots Available for $10
