I absolutely hated being woke up in the morning! This may have been because I was waking up to very loud music, but on lower volumes I would sleep right through it. And I really couldn't stand the jarring beeps that the actual alarm made. Now, I don't have to live with that form of waking up anymore. I now have the Progression Wake-Up Clock!
This gadget is much gentler than traditional alarms, since it gradually increases a combination of ambient light, stimulating aromas, and nature sounds considered peaceful, not jarring. Not only is it effective at waking you up in the morning without a jolt, but it is easy to use. As with regular clocks, you set the time you wish to wake up, choose what nature sounds you want to hear, and add some of the included aromatherapy beads.

ow it works: a half an hour before the set wake-up time, the light on the clock begins to glow dimly. It gradually gets brighter as the 30 minutes progresses. When the light brightens, it heats up the lamp which causes the aromatherapy beads to release a gentle scent. At 15 minutes before wake-up time, the soft, peaceful nature sounds begin. When the alarm hits the set wake-up time, the entire process is completed with one last sound selection, including choices like "Nightfall", "Thunder Storm", "Ocean Surf" or "Mountain Stream".
